Concrete Setter/Finisher – Phoenix Metro

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Setter/Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting forms, placing, finishing, and curing concrete on various projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

· Set and align forms for concrete slabs, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, foundations, and other structures.

· Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and power equipment.

· Level, smooth, and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces using screeds, trowels, floats, and other finishing tools.

· Apply curing compounds and surface treatments as required.

· Monitor the setting of the concrete to ensure a high-quality finish.

· Repair imperfections and remove rough or defective spots after the concrete has set.

· Follow safety guidelines and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

· Clean and maintain tools and work area.

· Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of concrete setting or finishing experience.

· Strong knowledge of concrete properties, setting techniques, and finishing tools.

· Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required by the job site).

Work Conditions:

· Outdoor construction environments.

· May require standing, bending, lifting (50+ lbs), and working in confined spaces.

· Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project timelines.
