About the Role: Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for construction and a knack for numbers? We’re looking for a Concrete Estimator to join our dynamic team and play a key role in bringing major construction projects to life. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of concrete projects—contributing directly to the success and profitability of our operations.
As a Concrete Estimator, you’ll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to ensure our bids are competitive, realistic, and aligned with project goals. Your expertise will help shape everything from foundations to finishing touches, and your insights will be instrumental in driving smart, cost-effective decisions from start to finish.
What You’ll Do:
· Review and analyze blueprints, project specifications, and plans to determine the full scope of work.
· Create detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for concrete construction projects.
· Work closely with engineers, clients, and contractors to clarify requirements and align expectations.
· Source materials and subcontractor quotes, negotiating pricing to ensure competitive bids.
· Identify potential risks and provide solutions to keep costs down without sacrificing quality.
· Maintain and update internal cost databases and historical pricing records.
· Prepare polished bid proposals that comply with industry standards and company policies.
· Track and adjust project cost estimates based on real-time developments and changes.
· Support contract negotiations with a focus on cost accuracy and value.
What We’re Looking For:
· Proven experience as a Concrete Estimator or in a similar estimating role within the construction industry.
· Deep understanding of concrete materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
· Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail—you’re confident working with numbers and complex plans.
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities—you’re just as comfortable talking with suppliers as you are with engineers.
· Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately.
· Highly organized and able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
· A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
